I'm not sure, but I think that I've read about it in Marty Lloyd-Jones Romans 6. I think that the argument was more or less like this: by offering our members the "members" have to be somewhat independent of salvation. That means that we are, in some ways, after being save, still the same. I remember reading that ordinarily, we shouldn't expect, for instance, that some not very intelligent man will become a scholar. Anyway, I was just trying to locate where this argument has come from. Anybody would help.
