One of the greatest tools of our enemies is discontentment with station, exacerbated by refusing to exhaust lawful means in increasing station, and under the goal of greater stewardship to the LORD. Alas! the world is too much with us. And if much of what's going on right now by way of fomenting discontent is not evident of such, I am not sure what more could be.

I am currently reading Thomas Watson's The Art of Divine Contentment, which is very instructive on this subject.
