Was he forgiven but experientially had a low view of forgiveness and thus loved little. OR was Christ leaving that statement for Simon to reflect, (leaving it open ended)?
Latter view has support that - Christ says that Simon did not do this and that - Simon did not even show a LITTLE love. Simon is also quite similar to the Luke 18 Pharisee who was not justified. And thus, Christ was making the point - that even if Simon loved a little, having a little view of forgiveness, Christ would have received Him. But Simon had nothing in him at all at this point.
