Anybody ever seen this? Know where or if it can be purchased ? :candle:

As a corollary to this, is there such a thing as a commercially-produced Bible that comes with the Westminster Standards as part of its back-matter. I knew a guy who had them in his Bible, but I think he had it specially done.

Never seen it. But the OPC has a very nicely-done Westminster Standards (with proof texts) book that is black hardcover and a convenient size. ;)

If you purchased a creeds & confessions book that you like, you could get it rebound in leather . . might cost you a pretty penny, though.

Yes, there is bookslover

The Spirit of Reformation Study Bible

I have it. It's NIV. All the Creeds and Confessions are in the Back. Type is small, but readable.

Amazon.com: NIV Spirit of the Reformation Study Bible: Books: Richard Pratt

I have one of those. The OPC did a very nice job (it's very sturdy), and it's incredibly inexpensive, too. And the proof texts are not just the references, but all the texts themselves. Nicely done.

...and thank you good sir!

Any Link to the OPC Creeds & Confessions you referred to? I really like having these in the back of the Bible, but I would like all of these in once handy volume.

Anybody familiar with Pelikan's Credo ?

I have Schaff's 3 Volumes.

Thank you, kind sir. May your tribe increase!

If you're getting a new confession, I would highly recommend this version:

It contains all of the Standards adopted by the Church of Scotland in a nice hardback.

The differences between the OPC edition and the FPP edition (the one Jeff linked to) are greater than merely that the OPC edition contains the American revisions (to the Westminster Standards). Other differences: 1. The OPC edition only includes the standards themselves (WCF, LC, SC), not any of the other documents (e.g., the directories for public/private worship). 2. The OPC edition is much smaller and more portable, and I have frequently carried it to church. 3. The OPC edition has a nice Scripture-proof index in the back that references all the proof texts used in the WCF, LC, and SC; the FPP edition does not have an index like this. :)

You ask if there's a link to it -- sure! Follow this link if you want to download the entire OPC edition in .pdf files (it's the second 'list' of links). Ordering instructions are just after the links to the files. It's only $12!

Other than the NIV part, this is an excellent Bible for cross-references to the confessions. Not only does it have the Three Forms of Unity in addition to the Westminster Standards, but in addition to having the Scripture references at the bottom of the confessions, it actually has the confessional references throughout the entire Bible for every verse that was used as a "proof-text" for any of the six confessional documents.

If only it were available in the ESV...

Agreed! Still its a better Bible than the Reformation Study Bible due to all the "Bells & Whistles" -- or Creeds, Notes, etc.

The ONLY thing that could make this Bible better would be to have 1) ESV 2) Larger Font 3) Slightly Wider Margins for Notes.
