I love this rendition.
Interesting, but “you are my vision” is a statement. “Be thou my vision” is a prayer.
I love this song! I saw your post and was near my piano.
I heard somewhere that "You are my vision" is a more direct translation of the old Irish song.
As for me, I would rather have the reality, "you are..." than to still be praying for it, "be thou..." I'm serious, but I will also add a smiley.
