Arrived today. Read the dust jacket (I always do that), the introduction, and the first chapter. This is going to be a fine book.

By the way, the Table of Contents listed above was preliminary. In the published book, there are 41 chapters, not 44. Three of the listed chapters were dropped.

Am reading one chapter per day in order to savor the book. Today, it was Chapter 8, "Reading the Puritans" - 34 pages of wonderful advice about how to read the Puritans, descriptions of Puritan theology, book recommendations, etc. So far, this chapter is worth the price of the book.

I'm working through Beeke's Reformed Preaching right now, but intend to pick this one up next! Once someone makes it through, I would very much appreciate their overall thoughts (but have little doubt that it will be excellent).
