Has anyone read Isaac Watts' book on Logic? Is it any good or or is it outdated?

He is still quoted, but modern logic has advanced light years in terms of symbolic logic, propositional logic, Boolean logic, and modal logic.

Here is a good approach to learning logic.

Moreland, J.P. Love Your God with All your Mind. Not a logic text, but a good intro on how to use the modus ponens, which is one of the most beautiful and powerful conceptual tools out there.

Geisler, Norman. Come Let us reason. Since he is a Thomist, he focuses mainly on classical syllogisms. A good resource but quite limited.

Copi and Cohen. The standard logic text. Kind of pricey, but used copies available.

Morris, With Good reason.

Poythres, vern. Logic. Half worldview primer, have logic text.

Yeah, any edition around tenth or eleventh is recent enough.
