My pastor is currently preaching from Revelation, he holds to a partial Preterist, Amill position. I would like a commentary that I can read from another view point. Does anyone know of a commentary on revelations from a Historicist, Futurist or Idealist postmill standpoint?

Greetings:

I do not know anything about Milligan, but Albert Barnes' Notes on Revelation is a good presentation of the Historicist position from a postmill perspective.

Blessings,

Rob

Hi Justin, here is E.B. Elliot's historicist, Horæ Apocalypticæ: Or, A Commentary on the Apocalypse

You may find some discussion of Milligan here, as well as other views. Do you know which commentaries your pastor is using in his preaching?

Here is Milligan's Revelation, and his Lectures on Revelation is linked to in the thread noted just above.

My pastor is using Dennis Johnson as well as David Chilton to name a few. Is there any current scholars still alive that write from a Historicist Postmill position?
