A few days ago I was reading Psalm 136:
Psa 136:1 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Psa 136:2 O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Psa 136:3 ...his mercy endureth forever
Psa 136:4 ...his mercy endureth forever

Psa 136:25 ...his mercy endureth forever
One thing that struck me as I read repeatedly the phrase "his mercy endureth forever" is (from my limited experience, anyway) how seldom its stressed how critical it is to obtain mercy from God, or that we need God's mercy. How little do I appreciate God's mercy.

I praise God that His mercy does endure forever. I'd like to appreciate better my need for that mercy. I was just wondering if any of you have listened to (or preached) any sermons that you felt really nailed on the head our need for mercy?
