I've wondered about this - why does the Lord's name YHWH appear at the beginning of a name as Yeho-, but at the end as -yah or -yahu?

When I was influenced by Sacred Nameism I assumed that they changed God's name at the beginning of names from Yahu- to Yeho- (like they put the vowels of Adonai in the consonants of YHWH - so Joshua would have been Yahushua, not Yehoshua), but never knew why they didn't do this at the end (e.g. why didn't they change Eliyahu to Elijeho?).

I'd like to hear you Hebrew experts' thoughts on this.
