But Satan the enemy of peace and truth, could not long endure the peace and publication of the Gospel; wherefore as he had already done in other places, with might and main he laboured to hinder and overthrow the Gospel; and in its place to set up these seditious Anabaptists: so he did the same at Munster, to the great damage of the faithful, the destruction and infamy of the Gospel.
