If you have read any old books such as those from the 17th century where any Greek is used, they use old ligature pairs and abbreviations which the typesetters developed from written incunabula forms. Does any one know of a readily available typefont that has these largely represented (there are a lot of them). I have one typeface that I found but need a back up (the one I have is RGreekL2).

I do not. But if you are considering reprinting any of that, I'd strongly advise writing the words out.

Certainly; just that in a few cases it is useful to exhibit what the original had because often there are typos that need to be noted.
