What are the best of the best Hebrew (and Western Oriental) language resources? I've read through Van Pelt's grammar three or four times. I am reading through Choi's right now. I also have van Pelt's Vocabulary Guide. (I was never impressed with Brown-Driver-Briggs).

There is a wonderful little paperback, Hebrew Through Pictures. If you know a little Hebrew or have a dictionary, it's a fun way to gain skill in the language. If you go to a Jewish bookstore, you can find a lot of story books and the like, at all different levels. But that may be more modern than ancient Hebrew. Reading through grammars does not sound like fun.
