If we are going to study the Divine Decree with De Moor (and we should), we must prepare ourselves for the exercise.

I find it impossible to read De Moor's Outline without getting excited about what's coming!

At this point, De Moor transitions in the system from the Doctrine of God to the Divine Works.

Here, he justifies his classification of the Divine Decrees as Internal Acts ad Extra.

Here, De Moor demonstrates how the language of Systematic Theology pertaining to the Divine Decree is drawn directly from the texts of the Old and New Testaments.

In good Scholastic form, De Moor first demonstrates the reality, the existence, of the Divine Decrees, before delving into a detailed Biblical description of them.

Westminster Larger Catechism 12: What are the decrees of God?

Answer: God's decrees are the wise, free, and holy acts of the counsel of his will, whereby, from all eternity, he hath, for his own glory, unchangeably foreordained whatsoever comes to pass in time, especially concerning angels and men.

De Moor contemplates the Divine Decrees in their general nature.

Are the Decrees Divine Attributes? equivalent with the Divine Will? In what sense are they free? etc.

De Moor works through the implications of this profound ascription...

The Divine Decree, proceeding from the Perfect and Independent God, is as Immutable as God Himself!

De Moor explores this wonderful truth...

"In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will..." Eph. 1:11.

De Moor explores this glorious truth...

Threatened by war and disease...

It is a comfort to know that our days are in the hands of the Most High, not in the hands of tyrants or drug-makers.

De Moor considers...

If God foreordains whatsoever comes to pass by His sovereign decree, how does that relate to the free and sinful acts of His rational creatures?

Difficult.

De Moor explores...

De Moor takes us to the deep end of the theological pool...

Would anyone want to hazard the writing of a brief summary, contrasting the Infralapsarianism of Turretin and De Moor and the Supralapsarianism of Twisse and Rutherford?

Interested in the Free-Offer (Well-meant Offer) Controversy?

De Moor weighs in...

Are non-actualized Possibilities properly Objects of the Divine Decree?

De Moor explores...

"What does it all mean?"

This question actually has answer.

De Moor explores...

For the first time in English...
