Everybody seems to like him - he seems confusing to me when I listen to his lectures. Has he gone too far with his ideas that we can spiritually transform ourselves? Any thoughts?

I read his [u:88c09593d6]Divine Conspiracy [/u:88c09593d6] (his take on the Sermon on the Mount) sometime ago. If you're like me the confusion that you are sensing is probably coming from what I perceive to be his somewhat antinomian avoidance of God's law when it comes to practicality and sanctification in the believer's walk.

In a certain way, he kind of reminds me of Bonhoeffer in that respect -a lot high sounding spiritual ideas that end up leaving (me) high and dry when it comes to actually walking it out. I'm not sure, is it a touch of mysticism? -that's my guess...

It did sound mystical, reminded me of the higher-life people my mom used to play tapes of. I used to think " so how do you do this exactly, it's over my head".
