Can somebody recommend a good biography of John Knox?

Got one of John Calvin, and one of Charles Spurgeon, but they're both so abysmally dry and boring that I never finished them. I want to know more about Knox, but I'm going to try to make an informed decision this time.

And recommendations?

Jane Dawson's John Knox (published by Yale University Press) is the best scholarly work on Knox - especially as it draws on recently discovered manuscript letters belonging to Christopher Goodman.

Trumpeter of God: A Biography of John Knox, by William Stanford Reid (1974).

Excellent, but a bit lost in the shuffle and overlooked these days.
