What does the Call to Worship look like at your church? Do you read a Scripture and say a prayer or add a little message?

Scripture reading. Usually(though not always) responsive. More often than not it comes from a psalm. The Invocation comes after the opening hymn of praise. CTW-Hymn-Prayer of Invocation.

Non-Responsive Call to Worship (As it is God who calls us to worship, we respond in prayer and singing and hearing intently). Usually a few verses.

Currently, a responsive reading from a psalm.

Followed by a hymn, then a prayer.

Scripture reading, 95% of the time a Psalm. No comment normally although on odd occasions there may be just a brief sentence or maybe even two then into the first hymn.

No comment, just a portion from a Psalm (although I do say 'God's word says' as an explanation of what I am reading - not obvious to all visitors), then the opening prayer, then the first hymn.

"Our call to worship this morning comes from Psalm _____.....read portion of the pslam.... in response to this call, let us stand and sing these words from the Book of Psalms in selection _______...."

Sometimes comment. Sometimes no comment. Almost always a psalm for the call though.
