Books on the Gospel

Puritan Board Freshman
looking for recommendations for books on the gospel. Preferably shorter, more accessible reads, not any crazy 1000 page tome. Books about the work of Christ, books that stir affections for Christ, books that just explain the gospel plain and simple. Whatcha got???

Be weary of McKnight though. He's like Wright and tries to throw the baby out with bathwater because evangelicals haven't focused on the 'Jesus is Lord's part...

Included in my tbr/wishlist (from Puritan to modern) are,
  • Bunyan's 'Come and Welcome to Jesus Christ'
  • Andrew Bonar's 'Gospel Basics' or 'The Gospel Pointing to the Person of Christ'
  • Ryan McGraw's 'Christ's Glory, Your Good'
  • Ian Hamilton's 'Gospel Shaped Life'.

Matthew Everhard - Souls: How Jesus Saves Sinners
Paul Washer - The Gospel of Jesus Christ

The Washer one is more of a booklet at 32 pages; succinct but clear presentation of the gospel. I give them out when evangelizing.
