Barnhouse's 4 vol. commentary on Romans

Any thoughts on this commentary?

I found it in my church's library and wanted to know if it is worth sneaking it into my personal library.

I'm certainly no expert, but these are radio transcriptions for his show which he made years ago. They are devotional more than scholarly but for a pastor I think they might be of value. Certainly perusing a volume or two will let you know if it might be useful. I have heard him preach on tape and he was a powerful preacher.

They have value. In my opinion, they are not as good as Boice's 4-volume series. However, there is an excellent discussion of the Virgin Birth in volume 1.
