I’m rediscovering their spiritually-laced prog-rock mastery. Primarily their first 2 albums down till album No. 5. Like many great bands, they eventually lost their edge (and even their faith). But those first 2 albums are absolute classics. (They were actually more appreciated in the UK). They were definitely a thinking man’s band…

My cousin, David, used to be their sound man. I listened to them a lot when I was around him. Back in the 80s David took the lead singer (the one with the Mohawk) to meet our grandma and grandpa. I wish I had been there to see the look on their faces.
 
The intro to "It's Love" sounds a lot like Soundgarden.
