I had no idea that the Westminster divine, Anthony Burgess was a viewer of Star Trek. He even gets a dig in against Commander Spock in his book on justification: "who will say a lame Vulcan goeth upright with another man's legs?" Is the reference to another man a sly attack on Mr Spock for being semi-human?

Anthony Burgess, The true doctrine of justification asserted and vindicated, from the errors of Papists, Arminians, Socinians, and more especially Antinomians in XXX lectures preached at Lawrence-Jury, London (2nd edn, London: though. Underhill, 1651), p. 9.
