All, we had a nice spread of scores last week (12-7, fairly evenly spread) with two folks getting only one game wrong. Some good matchups this week, including the Red River Rivalry game and the Bama-A&M game, which has been wild the past few years. Should be a fun week.

I will be preaching this weekend on Psalm 75:4.

"To the arrogant I say, ‘Boast no more,’
and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horns.'"

Boomer Sooner!

Is Texas v. OU the SEC game of the week?

It used to be the Red River shootout, but the wokesters took care of that a few years ago. Drive time radio folks this morning were stumbling over whether it was the Red River Showdown or the Red River Rivalry this year.

OU and Texas are both still in the Big 12 until next year. I have only ever seen it called "the Red River Rivalry" for some years now.

Hi all -

There was a great deal of shuffling among the potential leaders as the evening games Saturday night sloshed back and forth (and Baylor utterly seems to have forgotten how to play football). Nip and tuck it was all day long. At the end of the day, with Notre Dame giving way to Louisville who simply played a more consistent game, our Grand Poobah notched his second win by tiebreaker over Ben and Dan who failed to pick UAB as the winner over USF. All the rest of us, except Ed) finished in second position with 6 correct picks. Ed, don't try the lottery please - it may not go well. :)

Congratulations to Lane for winning his second :flamingscot: :)

This week's totals:

greenbaggins: 7 :flamingscot:
DanSSwing: 7
Sola Scriptura: 7
Edward: 6
toddpedlar: 6
Sovereign Grace: 6
GulfCoast Presbyterian: 6
Spurge: 6
Edm: 4

And our 2023 weekly winners thus far:

SolaScriptura :flamingscot: :flamingscot:
greenbaggins :flamingscot: :flamingscot:
Edm :flamingscot:
GulfCoast Presbyterian :flamingscot:
toddpedlar :flamingscot:

Wow, we didn't do very well this week, did we? I won with barely over half the correct picks? Well, I suppose that's what's fun about college football. Anything can happen!
