If the opening week was remarkable for the strong matchups (such as Tennessee and App State), this week should be remarkable for its blowouts. I tried to figure out a way to make the tiebreaker the biggest blowout margin by a power five school, but rejected that as being too much work.
For newcomers - any PB member can participate. Pick the winners for each listed game, and the winner and final score for the tiebreaker.
The winner each week qualifies to participate in the bowl pick 'em at the end of the season. While this week's games run Thursday through Monday, I will never list a Sunday game, and this week I omitted Thursday and Friday games. The contest closes each week with the kickoff for the first listed game.
Suggestions for upcoming matchups are welcome, although my bias is to look for top 25 matchups and games which should be close with some participation by each of the major conferences (if they will play real opponents).
Given the poor matchups, I've thrown in a few more teams than last week in a hope of getting some separation on the scores.
Point University at Kennesaw State
South Carolina at Mississippi State
Arkansas at TCU
Texas Tech at Arizona State
Cincinnati at Purdue
Rice at Army
NC State at East Carolina
Penn State at Pittsburgh
University of Ohio at Kansas
Connecticut at Navy
Wake Forest at Duke
Middle Tenn at Vanderbilt
Tiebreaker - pick winner and score
BYU at Utah
