According to my records, the following folks are eligible to compete in the Championship round, with the winner responsible for running next year's Pick 'em

Randy
Todd
Edward
Zach
Bill THE Baptist
Ben G
Ben D
Douglas

I'm doing the Championship a little different this year; if you don't like it all you have to do is win, then you can do it the old way next year if you like.

For each game, pick the Winner and the Final Score. For the Championship game, pick the Winner, Loser, and the final Score before you even know who will be playing in the game.

Tiebreakers will be
Winner of the Championship Game in Florida
Score of the Tampa Game (using the usual formula)
Winner of the Championship Game in Texas
Score of the Frisco Game
Score of the Alabama - Washington game
Score of the Ohio State - Clemson game
Most PB wins this season
coin toss

Championship Game Tampa, Florida

Winner Loser Final Score
_________ v __________

Peach Bowl
Alabama vs Washington and Final Score

Fiesta Bowl
Ohio State vs Clemson and Final Score

Championship Game, Frisco, TX
James Madison University v. Youngstown State and Final score

Rose Bowl
USC v. Penn State

Sugar Bowl
Auburn vs Oklahoma

Cotton Bowl

Maybe I am reading this wrong, but it seems that there are some errors. Washington is listed as playing in both the Peach and Fiesta bowls, and Michigan is listed as playing in both the Cotton and Orange bowls.

You only get partial credit; I misspelled Oklahoma, as well.

Fixed, I think. And the Reverend Mr. Glazer can change his choices if impacted by this as long as the date stamp is prior to the first kickoff (although it looks like he took that into account).

Now if I do not play I do not have to worry about the "honor" of doing the work you did this year in organizing the picks.

PS. You did a good job Edward....thank you.

Threw some other scores in just for fun.

It seems that Lane Kiffin will not be coordinating the Alabama offense in the championship game. Apparently his duties as the new head coach of Florida Atlantic were distracting him too much. They are spinning this as wanting what is best for him, but more likely it is because Coach Saban was not pleased with the performance of the Alabama offense in the Washington game and decided that distraction on the part of Kiffin was to blame. Interesting to see how this will impact Alabama.

It has to help. It's hard to come up with a charitable rationale for some of the offensive play calling in that game.

Looks like it's down to Edward and Ben G, and who picks the closest score in the Alabama-Clemson game...

So who took the crown?

:butbutbut:I figured I had 6 months or so to do the math....

Well we both picked wrong, I got Clemson's score right.

No, you got Alabama's score right.

I think we should, in retrospect, complain about the tiebreaker rules - It was pick the winner of the championship, but nothing about picking the loser. Since I haven't done all the math, I'll start by accepting Mr. Pedlar's results above (subject to audit, although he is better with numbers than am I, so I'm sure they are correct) and treat it as a head to head between me and the Reverend.

Taking it to the second tiebreaker, and using the formulas in the spreadsheet, Mr. Glaser has a 6.32456 and I had a 7.21110. As followers of this series know, the low number wins the tiebreaker, so

:flamingscot::flamingscot:The Reverend Benjamin P. Glaser is our winner and will be responsible for next year's matchups. :flamingscot::flamingscot:

Well done Rev. Glaser. And again to Edward for running a fine season.

For the rest of us losers: there's always next year. Unless there isn't.
