I have the 1599 Geneva Bible Calvin Legacy Edition, which is hardcover. I would like to replace the hard cover with a leather cover. Would that be against any book laws or copyright laws? There is nothing wrong with the bible, I would just like a leather cover. It would be easier for me to hold and read.

Evidently they don't sell the Calvin edition anymore... I sure would love to get one of those...

I made this exact modification about two years ago (my original cover separated almost immediately, but I love the Bible). I went with a simple cowhide cover from Ace Bookbinding.
