Does anyone know when the earliest known usages of the eschatological categories of "pre-millennialism" and "post-millennialism" are believed to have occurred?
I have found "post-millennial" to go back as early as 1830 and "pre-millennial" to 1818.
A complete list of sermons on Revelation by Phil Kayser from the orthodox preterist postmillennial perspective. I'm almost half way through and really picking up a lot of details I had missed over the years. Just thought I would share.
The link contains audio and text...
It looks to me like every (puritan) postmillennialist also has the interpretation of Romans 11, that there is a future conversion of a preserved Old Testament Israel mentioned in Romans 11.
I am not sure if it is true, that this is always linked together for every theologian, expressing clearly...
I need a list of postmillennialists who hold to a literal 1,000 year millennium. I also need a list of postmillennialists that hold to a figurative millennium (like amillennialists).
I'll start the lists:
Figurative
Boettner
Warfield
Edwards
Literal

Thanks!
