Just not a fan of Logo software

When Wordsearch was bought out by Logos I moved to Accordance, as they had a well priced crossgrade offer and I found their software easier to use than Logos. I recommend giving it a try if you prefer more traditional Bible Software user interfaces. Having said that, I mostly use Logos now, as...

Just not a fan of Logo software

So I am an old school Bible software user going back to Wordsearch Bible (when it was its own company), Quickverse and Logos. While Logos had gobbled everyone up I just don't care anything for it. I have a ton of books in Logos 4 with the free Logos 9 patch and have spent 1K for the platinum...

    Logos 9

I did, and spent the evening playing around with it. I bought a base package under a month ago when Logos migrated me from Wordsearch, so the discount was very generous. I particularly like the changes to the Passage Guide to filter resources - finding the most appropriate commentary for a...

One wonders if the BW owner(s) have made inquiries with other companies to buy out the product and carry it forward. Folks like Logos or WordSearch Bible may be interested if the price is right.

Banner of Truth Edition of the Westminster Standards

...As the attached shows, the automated tool has some kinks I need to sort out. Adding the actual verse text is easily done using something like my WordSearch ZipScript 10 (Logos has a similar feature). Just copy all citations and then it will paste the text in any location in a document...

    Free digital HCSB Study Bible

I haven't looked at the software lately, but Wordsearch has a lot of free resources on their website that you traditionally wouldn't expect to find. However, a lot of it isn't going to be explicitly...

    WORDsearch Bible Software Free Modules

Because e-Sword has such readily available modules from a few sites, you can build a ginormous library for free with it. Both e-Sword and WordSearch are lightning fast. But, the numbers of free modules available from WordSearch are certainly limited. If you have a discrete set of commentaries...

    Logos, Bibleworks, or accordance?

...purports to be, e-Sword is hard to beat. For quick use of many modern resources that are still in copyright, it is difficult to surpass WordSearch. Again, like e-Sword, the tabs are easy to use, and the program is nimble and responsive (nearly 1,500 volumes in my library). My own Logos...

    Logos Confusion

That slowness has definitely been a consideration for me, and I don't even have one of their packages. Most of my books are from old Libronix packages. Logos Confusion

Number of open panes may help. With Logos I have a two window pane setup. Bible on left, everything else on the right, similarly so for Wordsearch and Swordsearcher. ...My machine is an i5 (decent speed), but it runs like molasses when you have nearly 8,000 unlocks. For sermon prep, I tend to use my Wordsearch program because the screen layout seems more intuitive and the switching between resources is pretty swift for sermon prep purposes. You should do...
