Anyone here enjoy musicals?

I love the songs from Les Miserables but don't like the ones where they misuse the Lord's name :'(. I loved Wicked in high school but haven't revisited it in a while!

I liked Oklahoma when me and my wife watched it while dating. It had catchy songs. There's also a few nice Bollywood movies and they are like musicals.

There was some high school rendition play I went to that had a bunch of Elvis songs. That was the only musical I liked so far...

Well, I don't know much about bands, but I do know you can't make a living selling big trombones, no sir. Mandolin picks, perhaps, or here and there a Jew's harp.

In general, show tunes are to music what crocs are to shoes. But the musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer was not the worst episode in that show.

I strongly disagree. Especially because show tunes can encompass all kinds of music.
At least listen to one of the tunes from Les Miserables. It's closer to Opera than pop, folk, or rock etc.

Not a raving fan of the genre as a whole but I like a few in particular. I’ve liked G&D, Big River and Westside.

One time I saw a production of Big River had deaf people and hearing people in it. And part of it was in sign language and the other part was in spoken English. The sign language was dubbed, obviously, but it was really interesting stage version. It was by the theater called the Deaf West theater.
