Seceder and/or Free Church

I have been getting more into the seceders and free churchmen lately. I know of some works by the bigger named guys like Bannerman, Cunningham (great last name), Erskine (Ralph and Ebenezer), Boston, etc. Are there any others that have works or collection of works that are worth investing?

There is a 4volume set on Christ in the Old Testament by Rev Robert Gordon.(1786-1853) He had
influence on Cunningham and Fairbairn. Free Presbyterian Publications.

Thinking on it, perhaps Gordon could influence another Cunningham!

Almost none of the other main Seceders of the early Associate period before the Burgher split are in modern typeset.

I have regularly been blessed by the writing of Alexander Moncrieff, but he's only available in scanned PDF form at Internet Archive.

Of course one cannot miss out on Thomas M'Crie and the later 19th Century Seceders before they sold out to Modernism.

Browsing my shelves,these others are profitable. Patrick Fairbairn on the Visions of Ezekiel. Alexander Stewart on The Tree of Promise.( Chalmers said of him that he had outstanding gifts,1794-1847) Dr John Duncan or popularly called Rabbi Duncan 1796-1870. His books are Rich Gleanings from Rabbi Duncan, sermons and lectures. Communion Addresses of Rabbi Duncan. And Colloquia Peripatetica, a lovely little volume of pithy comments. Also a favourite of mine The Life of Dr John Kennedy.1819-1884, he wrote a delightful book called The Days of the Father's in Ross-shire, and another on that remarkable preacher,Dr MacDonald of Ferintosh, The Apostle of the North.

Yes. Sorry for not being clear.

I'll second the Fairbairn recommendation. He is best known for The Interpretation of Prophesy and The Typology of Scripture, but don't pass over his commentary on Ezekiel! It may well change the way you read prophesy--it certainly had that effect on me.

The Presbyterian Review is a good source for Free Church opinion in the wake of the Disruption.

John Brown of Haddington and John Brown of Wamphray would be a couple to look up. There's Fisher's Catechism as well obviously. Free Presbyterian Publications has not long ago released a collection of quotes from the Marrow Men on the Gospel: The Old Gospel Way, edited by Andrew Bonar.
