There is an album that was just released a few days ago called "The Psalter," by a Lampmode artist named Jas Knight. It is a totally refreshing journey through selected Psalms, arranged ingeniously. I highly recommend it....Snippets can be heard [ame="http://www.amazon.com/The-Psalter/dp/B002LI3QHS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dmusic&qid=1253889487&sr=8-1"]here[/ame]
Enjoy, and oh, let us know what you think!:sing:

I heard one song and the only good part in it was Shai Linne

LOLOLOLOLOL. I think some of the more modest artists would say to that comment, "YESSS!!!!!! He said there was a good part!"
I'll chalk that up (as I'm sure the artist would) to a matter of perspective. If I were an artist/musician, I'd thank you for your time and consideration, and Praise God that you found some aspect of my work good enough to compliment.

Not my cup o tea...sorry

No need to apologize for your opinion. I appreciate the fact that you'd take time out of your busy schedule to even listen.

Culterally most PB members who post here probably won't like this. I am not sure if it is an R&B style or a Jazz with Singing. I do believe it to be a good thing and a step up in the African American Community. I don't think it is a good idea to call it The Psalter though. That is just an opinion. The Psalter is God Breathed and I would be scared to Put that name on anything that I as a man composed. It would be like me writing a book that pushed for being biblically accurate and calling it the Holy Bible. I hope I am not making too much out of this.

I own Shai Linnes first two albums and will probably get Storiez as soon as I remember and have the extra money, his music I find edifying.

I personally only really have a taste for Shai Linne, Lacrae has like 3 songs I like as well.

I enjoy shai linne as well; actually, my journey from charismania to Reformed Theology was sparked (by God THROUGH) his and other lampmode artists' music. Timothy Brindle, shai linne, evangel of Christcentric.....
I was really wondering who these authors the mentioned were (Pink, Spurgeon, Piper, Tozer, Owen), and what this doctrine they kept talking about was (election, reformed, justification). That combined with a random picking up of Desiring God and it was all over but the singing LOLOLOL. Anyway, Storiez is an excellent work, though I prefer the Atonement. (especially Q&A, where I heard expiation for the first time)........
Thanks for listening. God is doing amazing things in a lot of different places.

Completely sensible opinion. Would it have helped, from your perspective, if it were titled "About the Psalter?"
Just curious.

Another album title would be more appropriate in my opinion. I am not sure that I could give a recommendation that the label would find acceptable though. I am rather a dude when it comes to having an imagination on conjuring up Titles. LOL

Storiez is good stuff, listen through it in one sitting the first time. I'm in the same boat, I enjoy shai linne much more than any other Christian rapper. Not only his lyrics, but his instrumentation is very well thought out.
