The Fall of the Steelites in the RPNA (GM)? (Stillwater & Greg Price)

Has anyone heard that the RPNA (GM) is going to close shop? I read about it here.

With the recent excommunication of half of their membership (without a church court to uphold/appeal to) it seems that Greg Price and his band of followers may have to throw in the towel. With Greg Price claiming to be the only lawful minister of the Gospel, it seems that Christ would have been better to him (tongue-in-cheek).

I thought that this could be discussed, not for gossip's sake, but because a number of my friends and acquaintances had been asked to sign an oath of allegiance to all that the ministry does/did/will do and were excommunicated... why? Because they asked questions.

Any thoughts or news?

Pray for these men and the sheep that they have led with a hard hand.

If I may ask:

1)How did the Steelites as a group come into existance, 2) What are some distinctives of this group as opposed to other covenanting groups, and 3) How did Greg Price (former OPC minister) become involved with them?

Oh, the play wasn't mine. A brilliant, but erratic, German shepherd atheist with buddhist leanings wrote it.

I have been informed that this subject is quite 'touchy' here at the PB. I will recall my question/discussion if needed.

Do they believe in Prophets?

I am just seriously wondering because I have studied that topic of late and would love to know their opinion of it?

Board member Pastor Dyck serves as a BP minister in Edmonton. He could give the entire (sad) story.

The Barrow brothers were members of the RPC-US (the Moorecraft group) until the early 90's. I was present at the GA when they withdrew (by letter). That was the same meeting at which the Talbott/Whitefield Seminary group withdrew(also by letter). Sorry I don't recall the names of the 2 presbyteries that these men represented, but they were the main figures in the Florida & the Alberta groups.

Talbott then played a major role in establishing the RPCGA. Reg went on to...well whatever it is that they have done.
