I understand that, and not to say that the council called together to produce the AV is exactly analagous to Nicaea. But this council did produce the Bible that became the common Bible of the English-speaking church. It was the Bible of the men at Westminster and was accepted by them as such. Until such a church council convenes again, I believe we shouldn't alter its content.Of course it wasn't. Was the AV recognized in the same way as the Nicene Creed? I feel the comparison of the AV committees to Nicaea is unhelpful.
