Like Regi Addictissimus, I am very meticulous about the condition of my books and keep them in tip top mint shape. If I do any annotations or highlights, I use pigma micron 005 pens and zebrite highlighters. That said, I very rarely annotate my books. I'm located in Toronto, ON (Canada) and hoping to see if there is anyone in this region who's interested. I've posted ads on Kijiji so if you searched some of the books I describe below, you'll be able to see my other listings as well. As I'm in Canada, all prices are in CAD. I apologize in advance if linking to Kijiji is against the rules, if so I will remove and post the pictures here instead!) All pictures shown below are pictures I took of the actual books. Additional photos can be provided upon request.

The main large sets include:

John Owen's Works (16 volume set) by Banner of Truth - absolutely mint condition - Asking $400 (https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?adId=1554531547)

John Owen's 7 volume set on Hebrews by Banner of Truth - absolutely mint condition - Asking $200

Calvin's Commentaries (Baker. 22 vol.) - very excellent condition (only 1 or 2 volumes have 1-2 pages with minor highlights) - Asking $400

Geneva Series of Commentaries - Very Excellent to new condition for all. I also have George Newton on John 17 by Banner of Truth. PM me if at all interested.

Volume 1 has very minor highlights in the introduction/biography section which I've taken photos of in the ad. - Asking $300 (https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?adId=1555662944)

John Owen's Hebrews set is $153 here. Are you selling his works and his Hebrews set together?

I am not interested in buying, but I am interested in the site you linked. Can you tell me about it?

I have a bunch of books and sets that I need to sell. I was already selling some books, and then we found out my wife is pregnant with our first. That means more need to go.

Thanks, and I hope your book sales are successful.

Honestly brother, you are smoking crack at those prices. I just bought the works of John Owen from banner of truth, brand new, for less than $300.

One of my first posts here and been getting some harsh replies on these prices, I'm guessing that those people who think they're are may have failed to see that I'm asking in CAD not USD. Or maybe American puritanboard members are just not that friendly with Canadians

Reformation Heritage Books for $122 USD if you convert this to CAD by 1.4 for foreign exchange and add another 1.2 for customs/duties at the border and add another 1.2 for shipping, it'll come closer to $245 CAD

There's probably some rhyme or reason to why Amazon.ca has the Hebrews set for $261 CAD (https://www.amazon.ca/Epistle-Hebre...words=hebrews+john+owen&qid=1616261360&sr=8-3)

Do the same math as I showed to above to Jacques ... $300 USD * 1.4 for foreign exchange * 1.2 for customs/duties at the border * 1.2 for shipping = $604 CAD

Amazon.ca has it for $505 CAD (they dropped their price since I've bought this at $558, coming out to $586 after tax last year) = https://www.amazon.ca/Complete-Work...eywords=john+owen+works&qid=1616261559&sr=8-1

Surprised that an administrator from California didn't see my CAD note in my original post.

If you did the same math that I mentioned to Jacques and Jerrod above, $153 USD * 1.4 foreign exchange rate * 1.2 for customs/duties * 1.2 for shipping = $308 CAD

Hi Regi,

Kijiji is a popular trading/selling/buying platform for us here in Canada. It's probably the equivalent of Craigs List in the US. No fees to pay and easy to set up an account and set up conversations with the vendor if you're the party that's interested.

All the best with your sales as well!

Thank you for the info, brother.

I agree; a few of the responses have been regrettable. It was disappointing as the Puritan Board is usually a loving and nurturing refuge on the web, though, on occasion, the debates can get fierce.

I hope you will stick around and grow with us in the fear and admonition of the Lord.

My first thought when seeing the responses was that people did not notice the Canadian difference. (Having grown up near the border, I did).

I'm not in the market for the books you've put up, but have followed the thread nevertheless.
I didn't notice the $ were CAD when I first saw the OP. I suppose I was more focused on the titles.
With us here in the USA sometimes it is best to post dollar amounts for each item, in both USD, & CAD.
So there won't be any confusion for those of us who rarely deal with CAD and are not familiar with the price differentials across our border.
Quite a few Canadians winter here at my Sou Florida condo community. We get along famously by and large. :welcome:

Showing your youth there. It used to be .98 US to $1 Canadian. So essentially the same until you got to really big numbers. Now a Trudeaullar is worth about 80 cents. Of course, the Canadians haven't done as poorly as the Brits. The Pound has lost about half it's value against the Dollar since they bowed to the New World Order and decimalized their currency.

Ai yi yi!

I didn’t notice the CAD$ part

I too was distracted by the titles! My bad.. :)
