When I grow up and start to write
The use of biros I'll resist with all my might

Disposable, plastic - I will fight!!
- a Forever Pen is morally right

A little tongue in cheek and seeking to parody the way the left weaponises language but single use disposable plastic biros should still be denounced. Move over Greta Thunberg!

I had a leaflet in a bottle of Noodlers ink with a FP that pointed out just how many biros a FP replaces. There IS a green/eco argument for FPs as well as the aesthetic argument.

Having read a spoof article on reducing your prayer footprint (Larknews?) I am inclined to expand on the idea.

Bah. Humbug. You modernists. A nib should be dipped in an inkwell of fresh ink.

Fountain pens? I'll bet most of you are really thinking of cartridge pens (like I used in high school) rather than real fountain pens that you have to pump. Which in itself is a poor substitute for a real ink pen.

I think of a pretentious device that ruins clothes and make one’s fingers look like he was booked that day.

One should try to only get arrested in jurisdictions that have adopted electronic fingerprint scanner machines.

I caught a talk show host using Greta's "How dare you" audio clip repeatedly and I must admit I found it funny.

When the President suggested anger management and a nice video with friends she apparently changed her "status" to reflect the comments - she might have a sense of humour which is good to hear.

I told my wife I had Greta on my side re: fountain pens...

...she replied she had carpet cleaner, sink cleaner and kitchen roll testifying to her preference for biros :surrender:

I'm going to echo @Edward on the fountain pen curmudgeonry. I can't find it right now, but I made a quill pen out of an osprey feather (I wouldn't dare possess a sacred eagle feather). Then I made ink out of wild rabbitbrush using wholesome ancient methods (with plenty of ventilation).

The result was fairly attractive, but my handwriting has not.

There was a poem which resonates

"when I grow up and go to sea...
[couple of verses]
...and never call a ship a boat!"

I cannot find it for the life of me but a parody would be, "...and never call a bic a pen!"

Anyone know the poem?
