I have more forthcoming quotes from the same source. I often hear it said (usually from those who should know better) that exclusive psalmody advocates must not really understand the gospel. But who has written books on the cross as profound as Hugh Martin's The Atonement and The Shadow of Calvary? (Not to mention the books of Fred Leahy and R. A. Finlayson among others.)

I am preaching my last sermon (in a series) from Psalm 22 this Lord's Day. A most hope filled and gospel filled passage in scripture, even of prophecy. It is a thrill not only to preach but also to sing it, even singing the very words of Christ about himself and his church.
