I am looking for reports with experience with mesh routers. I have a mesh system now that I am going to replace because the company (Luma) went out of business, which means no more updates, which means security issues. Two systems I am particularly looking at are the Netgear Orbi and the Ubiquiti Amplifi.

Any good reports? Any problems?

I have the Tenda MW6 mesh system and it works great for us but it doesn't have the customization ability of other systems and for very high bandwidth users (multiple people streaming video at once) it's not quite as fast. We've had no problems, however. It was easy to setup and have had zero downtime. I haven't even had to reset them since getting them in last November. It has great coverage--we have two stories plus a finished basement and there are no dead zones and we even get great signal well out into the yard. I've heard complaints of devices not transitioning well from satellite to satellite. I haven't experienced that but I also don't walk around while using wifi a lot to notice.

I did a lot of research on them last fall and the Orbi is the best in the business and has been for a few years. I'd definitely recommend going with it if you can, especially since the price has gone down a bit. I think there's a sale on them right now at Amazon: https://slickdeals.net/f/13005916-n...nd-2-satellite-extenders-209-99?src=frontpage

While not one of the ones you said you were looking at specifically, I have the Google mesh system (3 Wifi points) and would have nothing but positive things to say about it. I think it is designed for the novice user so I assume it does not have the customization options that other systems do, but it has been 100% reliable from day 1, and the app is very well done - the entire system and the speed to each connected device can be tested easily.
