Hebrews (ABRIDGED) - John Owen

I'm interested in buying the modern and abridged version of John Owen's commentary on Hebrews (Amazon link), which was published by Crossway.

However, I would like to know if someone here has one and could comment on it.

- Has the language been updated to modern English?
I have read some portions of the W. H. Goold edition, and for me it is still a bit challenging.

- Condensing many volumes into a book with less than 300 pages is not an easy job. Do you think important sections of the original work been left out of this edition?

Any other thoughts are welcomed.

I have it and I did use it when I preached through Hebrews. The language has been modernized and what is there is very helpful, but to be honest it is a bit slim. In my opinion, they abridged it far too much.

I have it and would use it. Like any abridged versions you always feel you are missing something. Never having seen the unabridged version I wouldn't know what has been left out but I do find it useful.
