    Post RIP Bob Probert

    To all hockey fans,

I just found out that former NHL tough guy Bob Probert passed away earlier this afternoon.

I don't know if he was saved or not. I do know that he was one of the most feared enforcers on the ice in his career and that he would get into occasional scraps with Stu Grimson - who does claim to be a believer.

He was on Lake St. Clair, between MI and ON. I wonder if the fact that it was about 94 here today (and no one's used to that) had anything to do with his death.

    Very sad.

knew him during my late high school years, he played for the local Jr A team for a few years.

he did a lot of substance damage to himself, had a long career even in spite of this.

Our prayers for the Probert Family in this time of loss.

On a postive note:yes,Stu Grimson claims to be a follower of Jesus here's the link for some of his testimony.

The PuritanBoard exists to promote robust discussion of theology in a Confessionally Reformed context. The modern trend of short statements of faith belies the many places where the Scriptures teach with great clarity. Though our respective Reformed confessions sometimes disagree, we believe that Churches have been given the gifts of teachers and elders to lead to the unity of the faith and the result of that unity is a Confessional Church confessing together: "This is what the Scriptures teach." The Confessions are secondary to the authority of Scripture itself but they arise out of Scripture as a standard exposition of the Word of God.
