| | | We Are Marshall This has got to be one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. There is so much to like about this movie. Matthew McConaughey proves why he is one of my favorite actors with the charisma and passion that he brought to this story.
This is not merely a "feel good" story that paints over real human pain but it deals honestly with the devastation to families, a town, and a university that so much death brought. You find yourself drawn into the story and you feel the weight of men and women who are burdened by grief.
One of the things I particularly like about this movie is that it introduces some overtly Christian teams - from the men and women grieving with one another in Church services to the WVU players painting Crosses with MU on the back of their helmets.
Sure there is some "Hollywood-esqe" stuff to this movie but it is one of the most stirring sports dramas I have seen in a long time. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Semper Fidelis For This Useful Post: | | | | Review Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
