Some New Books

Via my account at Book Mooch I received William Croft Dickinson's Two Volume Edition of John Knox's History of the Reformation in Scotland today!

I also got a hardback copy of Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment to accompany my already aquired The Brothers Karamazov.

It's just individuals, in essence, giving away books. You go through your library, take out books you don't want (for example, most of mine were former Arminian, Pop-Psych fluff, and you make them available to others. The place has a point system, by which you gain points. 1 point gives you the ability to "mooch" a book. Starting out, it'll take 10 books to get one point. However, when you give a book to someone who requests it, you get a point. When you acknowledge receiving a book, you get a 10th of a point. So it starts adding up, the more of your book inventory you give away.

Wait! you see those books behind me? A lot of them I no longer read or accept from my standpoint, you mean I can "wheel and deal" some of that stuff and get better material on a point system? Very cool! Thanks for the tip my friend!
