I got this biography of RL Dabney by Sean Lucas today (I picked up a few books today ); has anyone else read this?

I did a review of that book that is located on the PB book review forums. It is a good book, except that Lucas focused more on Dabney's faults than he did on his strengths. I would also hasten to add that Lucas didn't seem to have the best understanding of the causes of the war. However, the comparisons between Kuyper and Dabney were very well-done.

No, not pietist. At least he wouldn't think so. And to his credit he did give a necessary critique of Hart's Secular Faith elsewhere.
