Puritan Paperback Bundle

Guess what I got for 11th Anniversary / Mother's Day gift!??

Ok, I guess the title gave it all away! I got the Puritan Paperback Bundle! 37 volumes!!!! (Too bad I'm missing Owen's Spiritual-Mindedness - must order a copy asap!)

Just wanted to share since I'm so excited and happy!!

(Ok, we need some more happy smilies. Other than bananas. Are all Calvinists this stodgy? )

Yvonne,
I *just* stuck it into my bookshelf but I've already read a few: Mortification of Sin, Bruised Reed, Loveliness of Christ by Rutherford and I'm reading Watson's "Body of Divinity" which isn't a Puritan Paperback, capital 'p's.

I love Puritan writings since I've discovered "Valley of Vision". I hope that I can read all of these books as I've been greatly edified by so much that oozes from even a page from these books.

Oh, Mortification of Sin and The Bruised Reed are both excellent! And Thomas Watson is probably my favorite Puritan of all! I just love reading the Puritans so much....there is such a depth of wisdom and insight that we rarely see in modern writers! You will certainly have plenty of good books to keep you busy for a while!!
