New books from a friend!

A friend from my church, as a going away present to me, is buying me three books from the Banner of Truth Trust catalog. I picked out the Reformed Pastor by Baxter, Precious Remedies by Brooks, and Fair Sunshine by Jock Purves. I'm excited! Good stuff. If I'd known that free books were part of the deal, I'd have gone to seminary sooner!

Nice Friend!

I love books - I only wish I could read as fast as people recommend them!

Enjoy!

Might trade Baxter for The Art of Prophesying. Perkins

Baxter is quite prevalent, easy to borrow or get at a library or buy used.

The Art is a quite useful book.

I have read Fair Sunshine more times than any other book I have ever owned.
I have read it to more people, and given loads of them away.
Valley of Vision comes next as a useful book to read over and over.

The Three Margarets is amazing. In my youth when I started to feel depressed I would read their story, cry and had no reason to be depressed.

You can't read too many books on the martyrs. Cloud of witnesses, is good to.
