Seiss, Joseph Augustus, Lectures on Hebrews (Eugene: Wipf & Stock, 2007) Originally published as Popular Lectures on the Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Hebrews (1846).

Any opinions on this volume?

Talking to oneself is, I believe, considered a sign of lunacy. Thinking to oneself is most certainly a sign of it. - G. K. Chesterton (1874-1936), in January, 1906

Seiss, a Lutheran, is, of course, best known for his Lectures on the Apocalypse, originally published in three volumes (1870-1884).

Interestingly, his Lectures on Hebrews, comprising 36 lectures covering more than 400 pages, was published when he was only 23.
