Henry Clarence Thiessen

All I recently picked up Henry Clarence Thiessen's "Lectures in Systematic Theology"; frankly I've been surprised by some of the statements and positions presented in the text.

Can others, who may be familiar with Mr. Thiessen, please share your views of his theological position.

As I recall, he is a dispensationalist.

Thiessen's Systematic happened to be my first foray into the field and it wasn't long in the reading before Dispensational concepts became evident. I'll save you some time here: Go straight to page 307 or Part VII Ecclesiology and read those three paragraphs.

There are other areas to consider but that page alone states the fundamental principle of Dispensational thought; the Israel / Church distinction.

The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
