Has anyone read this book by John Piper? The British edition is published by IVP and does not have the picture of Martin Luther that the US edition has.

I was very disappointed that Piper did not refer to Tom Wright as he is, an heretic. Plain and simple. The book in general is a good defense of justification by faith, but overshadowed and often times obscured by Piper's warm embrace of Wright as a brother in the Lord.

I am about half way through the online version of the book. I have found it very helpful.

IMO this is why self-publishing is the road to go down.

I mean, it's a good book. It is free to download, so it's not a waste of $$$! J/K, he deals with some of Wright's arguments point-by-point, but neglects to address Wright's overarching hermeneutic, which I won't get into detail here. I have some articles on my blog about the whole controversy.
Honestly, I lost alot of respect for Piper when he shrunk in FJ. But giving piper the benefit of the doubt, I am guessing that he hasn't read all of Wright's works like I have. I take that back, like I am, not have - I'm about half-way through "Evil and the Justice of God" by Tom Wright. Once I finish it I can say, like I have - until he publishes another volume.
