    Just kidding!!

I actually like the Geneva series by BOT. I have several sets, Calvin being my favorite by one author. (I probably HAD to say that, didn't I?! ) I am really trying to find the best singe volume commentaries by a single author on individual books. I think you get the cream of the crop that way.

    Just my :wr50:

Henry for a more devotional exposition on the Bible. I like this, but it is a lot of preaching on texts in there.

Geneva Series for a lot of doctrine and application brought out of the text. I find it to have more of this than others.

New Testament Commentary Series (Hendricksen and Kistemaker)
Reformed, deals with the text well.

Calvin - especially like his OT stuff.

And then there are select commentaries from other series like the New International Greek Testament Commentary for something a bit more critical.

    I like J. Vernon McGee's.

I like most anything put out by Banner of truth, Hendriksen, Calvin.

I use Matthew Henry in my devotional time.
