| | | Mathew Henry - different versions
Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the concise and complete versions? Is there a complete which comes as a single volume?

There is a complete Matthew Henry that comes as a single volume by Hendrickson Publishers.
I wouldn't advise it, especially if you want to get into bed with it. Very unweildy and uncomfortable.
Better getting the six vols. (publisher?)
You might get a discount on the one vol or six vols at the Met Tab Bookshop.

Don't get the concise version! One volume complete Six volume complete
I personally own the 6 volume set and use it often. The layout is very nice, and includes the KJV along with the commentary.

I bought the concise version two years ago and was very disappointed in it. The complete edition is great. Shop around, you may be able to pick up a deal on Matthew Henry's six volume edition. I recall seeing one on the PB 'for sale' section.

When I've sold the abridged version "Broad Oak edition" I think I've been known to state that it probably only contains about one-fifth of the original content found in the six-volume edition or the Hendrickson Publishers one-volume complete. I agree with Richard that the six-volume set is much to be preferred. I don't think I have a complete set right now but they come up fairly frequently and as we're moving 25 miles north in the near future, God willing, we shall soon be literally yards off your route to civilisation/Babylon (depending on how you view it; one acquaintance who happens to be of a Popish persuasion refers to the retail park as "Mordor" !).

Hendrickson publishes a very well-done edition of the 6-volume set. They completely reset the entire thing in a modern typeface. I've had my set for many years.
