John Goldingay on the Book of Psalms

Does anyone have an opinion on Goldingay's (so far) two-volume commentary on the Psalms? Good? Bad? Indifferent? Strengths and weaknesses?

I have the two volumes, but haven't had a chance to work with him yet. He is an open theist with a fairly liberal slant on Scripture, with usually fairly good literary insights.

But of course. Where does he teach? Oh, yeah, my alma mater!
