James A. Haldane. Particular Baptist Press.

I recently acquired a few commentaries from a brother on the Puritanboard by James A. Haldane. Many are familiar with his brother Robert's commentary on Romans that is published by Banner of Truth.

I have found this find to be rather providential in the fact that I picked up a biography on the Haldane brothers and started reading it last summer. Great Scotsmen, Sailors, Missionaries, and Preachers. Things I admire a lot.

I am thoroughly enjoying this commentary on Galatians by James as it has a few appendixes added in the back half of the book on Baptism, The Abrahamic Covenant, and Ciricumcision.

James also did one on Hebrews. I have been told by Gary Long of Particular Baptist Press that the Hebrews volume is nill and won't be redone for some time. But he has many of the Galatians commentaries.

He also mentioned that he is just finishing a new booklet by Mrs. C. H. Spurgeon concerning Comfort with a few unpublished letters in the back of it from Charles and one from Mrs. Spurgeon.

Anyways here is a link to Particular Baptist Press.
Particular Baptist Press

It looks like they have a wealth of Particular Baptist History published.

Be Encouraged,
Randy

"Our object should not be to have scripture on our side but to be on the side of scripture; and however dear any sentiment may have become by being long entertained, so soon as it is seen to be contrary to the Bible, we must be prepared to abandon it without hesitation."

Martin Marprelate, of happy memory, spoke highly of that commentary on Galatians.
